EATON SCHOOL GARDEN TO BE FEATURED IN DOCUMENTARY

Eaton School’s outdoor classroom and garden will be featured in an upcoming documentary series about gardening across Saskatchewan.

Filming took place Aug. 18 and 19, with students getting the chance to show off the space they helped build and maintain.

🎬 Something big is coming! 🎬

We’ve been up to something special over the past week… we filmed a documentary with Halter Productions 🎥✨

While we can’t unveil all the details just yet, we are bursting with excitement to share this feature about our school and the incredible community of Eatonia.

We spent two days filming with the absolute best crew. They made everyone feel so comfortable and truly embodied the Spartan spirit—filled with joy, kindness, and thoughtfulness from start to finish.

Mark your calendars! 🗓️ We can’t wait to premiere the episode in April 2027.

⛺ Honouring the Land & Our Community! ⛺

A huge thank you to this fantastic crew for getting the tipi up!! This was a magnificent way to honour our prairie lands and celebrate our interconnectedness to the land we gather on.
Through this hands-on experience, we learned about the traditional 15 Tipi Teachings—discovering that building a tipi requires not only knowledge; but also the grit, tenacity, and patience to adjust.

Bringing Indigenous knowledge into our school community grounds us in teachings of the past. Understanding the cultural importance of the tipi alongside the significance of native species helps our students develop a deeper respect for the environment and the rich history.

This project wouldn't have been possible without the extraordinary care and dedication of our team. A special thank you to:

🌱 Our Garden is Thriving! 🥦🧅🥒
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has been helping take care of the Eaton School outdoor space! Thanks to your hard work, the grounds are looking absolutely amazing. We’ve already harvested some fantastic zucchinis, onions, and broccoli!
🍇 Operation "Save Ashton!"
Speaking of harvesting... we need your help! Please come by with a pail and pick from our massive bounty of delicious raspberries before Ashton gets sentenced to more forced raspberry-picking labor! 🧺 Target acquired, pails needed—come grab some sweet treats!
(P.S. Don't worry, we’ve successfully scared away the guardian snake! 🐍❌)
🎨 Keep the Creativity Coming!
We are loving all the incredible painted rocks being left around the garden. Please feel free to keep dropping off your rock art—it adds so much color and joy.
This space is truly alive, and it’s all thanks to this wonderful community. Come by, pick some berries, and enjoy the garden! 🌟

Eaton School celebrated student success during its annual Colour Night Awards Ceremony on June 18.

Students in Grades 7 to 12 were recognized for achievements in academics, athletics, fine arts, leadership and community involvement, with scholarships and bursaries also presented to graduating students.

👏 Leadership in action at Eaton School!

Students in the Grade 5/6 class took charge of organizing and leading a fun-filled track and field day, helping create an unforgettable experience for their classmates. From obstacle courses and soccer to water balloon launching and sack races, the day was packed with teamwork, school spirit, and plenty of smiles.
