• Mondays and Fridays, 8:45 a.m.–2:45 p.m.

🏫 Seven Persons School
• 30 hours per week

Positive Childhood Experiences: Small Moments, Big Impact.

Our Learning Support Teachers and principals play an important role in supporting teachers and helping create environments where students can thrive. 🌱

As part of our Kindle Hearts strategic priority, PRPS teachers are intentionally creating opportunities for Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs).

This includes helping students feel supported by friends, experience a sense of belonging at school, participate in community traditions, and have caring adults outside their families who take a genuine interest in them. 🤝

At their monthly meeting, our Learning Support Teachers and principals shared how these experiences are coming alive in their schools.

From a simple hello in the hallway to taking the time to notice when a student needs support, these everyday moments can build connection, belonging and lasting relationships. ❤️

At Margaret Wooding School, Karen Bongaards is celebrating 40 years with Prairie Rose Public Schools, while first-year music teacher Lennon Longmuir is just beginning her teaching journey.

Their experiences may look different, but both are reminded of the same thing: teaching is about those moments when students grow, gain confidence and discover what they’re capable of.

🧡 Every Child Matters.

Students at Seven Persons School came together for Orange Shirt Day, taking part in activities that encouraged learning, reflection and conversation around Truth and Reconciliation.
