As we start to mix in more off-ice and multi-sport training, our High Performance Academies are taking full advantage of the season change!

As the South Alberta Hockey Academy continues to lead in athletic development, we are excited to share the upcoming details for the 2026/27 SAHA High Performance program.

This program addresses a shift toward a sustainable, integrated model for the 2026-27 season. Our comprehensive curriculum is designed to push athletes toward their full potential through a blend of elite technical training and holistic personal development.

Program Highlights:
To reflect the streamlined schedule and prioritize core development, the program fee is set at $1890 for the upcoming year. In addition to our popular Christmas 3 on 3 Jamboree, student-athletes will participate in:
● Elite On-Ice Training: 42 specialized sessions focused on mastering explosive skating and high-level puck skills.
● Off-Ice Conditioning: Dedicated dryland training to build functional strength,
coordination, and athletic agility throughout the season.
● Mental & Leadership Growth: Interactive classroom sessions featuring video,
cognitive training, and guest speakers from the hockey industry.
● Diverse Learning Days: Interdisciplinary opportunities where students can engage with various Prairie Rose Public Schools curricular programs.

SAHA High Performance students will receive a jersey, t-shirt, and shorts as well as a Christmas gift at the 3 on 3 Jamboree.

Academic Integration:
We prioritize the student in student-athlete. To ensure a strong finish to the school year, players will transition into their school’s CTS (trades, tech, arts) options in mid-March. This allows them to explore non-hockey disciplines and maintain academic excellence through the spring.

The Irvine U13B Bulldogs have been crowned 2026 provincial champions! An incredible achievement that reflects their hard work, dedication, and teamwork throughout the season. We are especially proud to celebrate the six athletes from our Irvine SAHA Academy who played a key role in this success: Deacon Dulle, Hudson Saubak, Layton Herter, Lyam Labrie, Mack Gust, and Nixon Barg.

The team delivered an outstanding performance all tournament long, showing resilience and determination in every game. In a thrilling championship final, the Bulldogs secured a hard-fought 5–4 victory over St. Paul. The game was a true showcase of skill and composure under pressure, and it was our very own academy student, Deacon Dulle, who rose to the moment, scoring the tournament winning goal and sealing the championship.

Congratulations to the entire team on an unforgettable accomplishment. You have represented your community, your teammates, and our academy with pride! We couldn’t be more proud of you all!
