When children spend time in nature from a young age, they begin to build a relationship with the natural world. Not just learning about nature, but learning to notice it, care for it, and feel a sense of belonging within it.
A child who knows where the frogs hide, recognizes the first signs of spring, collects fallen leaves, watches a seed become a plant, or simply feels the wind on their face is developing a connection that can stay with them for life.
This is at the heart of our Sunday Nature Play group. These sessions invite young children and their parents to slow down, explore, wonder, get messy, and build their own relationship with the natural world through hands-on, child-led experiences.
