The property that hosts Learning in the Woods is going up for sale in a few weeks and we won't be offering any programs in the near future. We had hoped to have an open house this spring but that looks like it might be challenging to arrange!

I wanted to share a photo and this one seems so fitting. Every spring we've spotted doe and fawn tracks along the creek at litw. One year we even spotted the fawn! This picture was taken yesterday. It's nice to know that our resident mama and baby are still attending stepping stones even if we aren't 💚

It was research about brain development and unstructured play that inspired Learning in the Woods. We're going into our fifth season this fall and there is more research than ever about the need for kids to engage in unstructured play.

I am so excited to be speaking (and attending!) this year's conference! I will be talking about the value of unstructured play;

1. the benefits of unstructured play
2. how to create the ideal environment to foster unstructured play
3. techniques to support conflict resolution and foster deeper connection and understanding

Christina Bellamy Payne from Improv Your Life is a member of our community and I KNOW her workshop is going to be high energy, introvert-safe, laugh until your belly hurts, amazeballs.
