Story of the month -February (2 guilds).
I am so grateful for all the women that showed up to the guild to cultivate and tend a deeper relationship with Fire.

Bringing our voices together with songs, our hearts and mind with gratitude.
Circling around the fire
Moving slow. Slowing down to the rhythm of the tree, to spark up the life force energy into our bow drill coal
It is a lot of work, but with attention and patience we get there.

It is a real delight to be gathering around a shared fire with sisters and learning from one another.

We even have a baby joining us! what a treat :) 🔥🥰

Attunement with the wild 🐦🦉🐻

Since I learned bird language, I’ve been able to notice when someone is approaching before I see them. I’ve seen more predators and animals such as owls, raccoons, minks, hawks, bear, even the hidden cats.

It’s very simple: we just need to attune our ears back to this universal language that all wildlife uses. Here is a video of what we will explore and practice.

It’s been a while since you've heard from Fire woman. Indeed, lots of change happened this last fall. Marie felt inspired to move towards other projects, leaving the Fire Woman project in the good hands of Claudelle.

Adding to this, after a rich summer living in the deep forest by the kokshila river, tending relationship with the bears and barred owl, I (Claudelle) relocated myself to Salt Spring Island.

I took the winter time to mimic the bears and took advantage to rest and feel into the new creativity and inspirations to come.

So here I am!

With new offerings for women, adult of all genders and for children :

Those guilds are being offered at a very low cost and will happen in the north end of salt spring island:

Fire Woman guild

Fire Woman guild is happening bi-monthly. Every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. 10AM- 1pm.

This bi-monthly guild is a place for women to gather and connect with the ancestral ways of making fire. This is a space for us all to share our skills with fire.

Attunement with the wild guild

Attunement with the wild will be open for all genders. Every first Saturday of the month. 10:30 AM- 1PM.
This guild is a place to come and connect deeper with the wild. A place where we will quiet the mind, connect with our wilder selves, and tune into our body radar (intuition).

Child Mentoring

I am also offering Private Nature Child Mentoring on Salt Spring Island. In these sessions I will focus on the element of fire. Fire making and using tools safely.

We hope you’re enjoying the summer and soaking up the warm sun! Hopefully, you’ve been able to get some good water time in too.

Things have slowed down a bit on our end, Marie is having lots of fun working full-time in nature connected and permaculture summer camps, and Claudelle is living fully off-grid, enjoying the deep calm and vibrant wildlife where there's no cell service.

Still, each week we keep tending to the vision, listening for what wants to emerge. There's a lot of beauty brewing, projects and series that will come in time. But for now, we’re starting with a smaller offering:

We're hosting a 4 hour hands-on workshop on how to light a fire using only natural forest materials during the wet season. We’ll also weave in nature-connection practices throughout. It’ll be practical, grounding, and connective with our sisters.

Land search and new opportunities:
We’re also still looking for a piece of land to host our future programs. If you have land, or know someone who resonates with our work, please reach out. We’re focusing on spaces in the Cowichan Valley and the broader Vancouver Island area.

Harvest, give praise, dissect, stretch, sing, make beauty, preserve and give new life.

This is where Marie Whimsy and Claudelle Charette got their 2 years training.

This is a deep immersive program, a 2 year long journey, that truly changes one's life, to become better humans walking on this earth. We believe that this is some of the most meaningful work that one can do to bring significant and positive change in their life, community, families, humanity and the ecosystem.
