Attention all Grade 4 and Grade 7 families!
The Ministry of Education is asking parents and guardians of Grade 4 and Grade 7 students to complete a survey to help assess the effectiveness of educational programs, to improve educational program delivery, and to report on student performance and achievements toward system goals such as Human and Social Development and Career Development.
This data is important for our work in identifying school and district improvement goals. Please click on this link below to access the Learning Survey.

Hello Everyone. Please see the post below from Chris Castellarin, one of our teachers at Drinkwater!
-----------------
Mr. C. America's (Canada's) Favourite Teacher
Hi everyone,
Well, it seems I am still in the competition for Americas Favourite Teacher. I made it into the top 20 in my group and now I am in round two, I must make the top 15 to remain in the running. The only way I can do that is with your vote. Free votes can be done once a day at https://americasfavteacher.org/2026/chris-castellarin
Currently I am in 9th place. You can vote free once every 24 hours and there are only 2 days left of voting. A huge shoutout to the parents who have voted for me.
You will see that there is also an option for paid votes, which is a part of the way the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) raises funds through donation. NSTA is a community of 35,000 educators dedicated to transforming science education to benefit all. Through high-quality resources, ongoing professional development, and a strong network of peers, mentors, and researchers, they support educators at every stage of their journey. Last year this competition raised over 3.2 million. There is no expectation for you to pay. A free vote is all that is needed.
Thank you to everyone for your support. Maybe we can get Bill Nye the Science Guy to our school for an assembly if I win and make it a Canadian win for a change.
Is Chris Castellarin America's Favorite Teacher?
Ultimately, I love teaching because it matters. The work we do hopefully shapes a lifelong love of learning.

We are building gravity cars with all of our Grade 6 and Grade 7 students this Thursday, December 4 from 9:30am - 11:00am and 12:30pm - 2:00pm. We would really appreciate any parent help with this great learning activity. Help would include providing support with hammering nails, using screwdrivers, and assembling the gravity cars.
Please contact Grant Mellemstrand at [email protected] or call the school office if you are able to help.

Hope you have all been enjoying the sunshine! Some of you may already be thinking of the fall - so here are the school supply lists. Please do not send you child to school on the first day with school supplies. We ask that you wait until they are in their "forever" classrooms. Until that time, the children will have access to some supplies at school.
