Wolf Pack Reminder: We Are a Scent-Free School

We love our Wolf Pack, but we do not need to smell like the perfume counter at the mall! 😂

We’ve noticed an increase in body spray, scented hand sanitizer, perfumes, and other strongly scented products at school.

While a little scent may seem harmless, some of our students and staff have allergies and sensitivities to fragrances. Strong scents can make it difficult for them to learn, work, and feel comfortable at school.

We know our students want to smell fresh and fabulous and we appreciate that! 😄 But at school, kindness means keeping the air comfortable for everyone.

Thanks for helping us keep our whole Wolf Pack healthy, happy, and breathing easy!

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

This week our Alexander Wolf Pack takes time to remember, learn, and reflect.

There is no school (Sept. 30th) as we honour Residential School Survivors, their families, and communities, and recognize the lasting impact of residential schools.

Truth and reconciliation is about learning together, listening to Indigenous voices, and thinking about how we can show kindness, respect, and understanding in our everyday lives.

September 30th is Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This is a day to recognize and remember the lasting impacts of the Residential School System on Indigenous communities and peoples throughout Canada.

In a show of strength and solidarity, a community-driven ‘Every Child Matters’ walk is being held, starting at 9:00 am at the Cowichan Tribes Soccer Field on River Road. Staff, students, and families are encouraged to join this community walk and show their support.
Full details of the event are below.
