School Bussing for 2026–2027

Students who currently ride the bus will be automatically registered for the 2026–2027 school year, unless their transportation eligibility changes. Eligibility distances are reviewed when students enter Grades 1, 4, or 9. Parents/guardians will be notified by email in July if their child is no longer eligible for bussing based on distance.

Do you need to take action?
•No action is required if your transportation needs remain the same.
•If you need to make changes or request new arrangements, contact us. To help ensure transportation is in place for the first day of school, please submit requests for changes by August 14.
•Returning Grade 12 students are not automatically registered and must contact us to register for the upcoming school year.

Bus numbers, stops, and schedules may change for the new school year. Updated bus service details will be available in the NWOSSC Parent Portal app in mid-August.

SL55 will be cancelled on Wednesday, June 24 due to driver shortage.

SL56 will be cancelled on Thursday, June 25 & Friday, June 26 due to driver shortage.

SL54 will be cancelled on Friday, June 26 due to driver shortage.

School Bus Drivers are needed in Sioux Lookout, Dryden, Red Lake, and Kenora. Bus Operators offer all required training and competitive wages. No professional driving experience is necessary. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid Ontario G class license with a good driving record.
