Little Explorers Preschool focuses on kindergarten readiness, ABCs, 123s, independence, learning, and exploring. We work with local Kindergarten teachers, to get your child(ren) ready for school.

Our Preschool is open to 3 and 4 year olds and our classes run on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9am-Noon. Our first day of Preschool will be on Monday, September 14th. Also, you may qualify for the $100 Preschool government affordability grant, for your child, which brings down our already low enrollment cost.

Introducing our new Preschool Teacher - Christina Crossey:

Hello everyone! My name is Christina, and I am so excited to be the new Preschool Teacher at Little Explorers Daycare! Although this is a new role for me, Little Explorers already feels like home because I’ve been part of the team for over two years. During that time, I’ve had the privilege of watching children learn, grow, and discover the world around them, and I can’t wait to continue that journey with our preschoolers.
When I’m not at daycare, you’ll often find me building LEGO creations. Collecting LEGO has become one of my favourite hobbies, and I have over 200 sets! I love how every build starts with a pile of tiny pieces and turns into something incredible, just like watching children learn and grow one step at a time.
One of my greatest joys is being a Nonna to six amazing grandchildren. They keep my heart full and remind me every day how special childhood is. At home, I’m also kept busy by my two playful Pomeranians, Bella and Buddy, who always make me smile. On weekends, I love escaping outdoors to go camping and swimming. Whether it’s relaxing by the campfire, exploring nature, or spending time in the water, I enjoy making memories with family and friends. I’ve proudly called Drumheller home for the past 16 years, and I feel so grateful to be part of this wonderful community.

I look forward to getting to know each of you and creating a classroom filled with fun, kindness, curiosity, and lots of learning adventures. Here’s to an exciting year together!

Earlier this week the summer program got to head into Calaway Park for the day. The kids and the teachers had a blast!

Grey room enjoyed going to the library today! Salt whale paintings and a couple of games.

And here is everything else in between! Enjoying parks, crafts and random dance parties.

All the rooms have been enjoying some water fun so far with these nice days!

Out of School care enjoyed the fire station last week! They got to look around and fire off the water hose as well!
