Another step in preparing for our upcoming school year. A small but dedicated crew of staff and a kindergarten student picked raspberries and sour cherries for our fall feast.

Big thanks to Miss Jonie Gerspacher for her kind support of our school as always 🫐πŸͺΆ

Exciting news for Year 2 at Roots of Resilience, Drayton Valley! 🌿✨

As we have successfully secured all the staff we need and having adequate space, we are thrilled to announce that we can welcome an additional 6–10 students for the upcoming school year!

As we prepare for September 8th, we remain committed to what makes our school so special: small class sizes and engaging, land-based learning experiences. We can’t wait to continue growing alongside our returning students while welcoming new families into our school community. πŸ’š

Berries are such an important part of ceremony🫐πŸͺΆπŸ“ (not to mention they are delicious and healthy ) πŸ˜‹. We were able to harvest our first round of saskatoons this week. More to come but we have a good start on the preparations for our equinox ceremony in September. Thanks once again to the students, parents and staff for contributing to the whole school community in such a good way. β™₯️

There is way more to it than the harvesting πŸͺΆ We are grateful to the students, parents and staff that wrapped things up today by cleaning, bundling and hanging the sage to dry. We have enough for the year and some for the Elders πŸ’œ
