So excited the Drayton Valley Museum was able to take the beloved reading train!!

The Drayton Valley Museum would like to thank Andrea with the former Eldorado School Reading Program for their donation to the museum.

Please watch this summer for the train to be upgraded and in operation at the Museum.

All families who ordered school supplies online, please come pick up your supply boxes tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25th, at the ELDORADO main entrance between 9 am and noon and 1 and 3 pm. Please ring the doorbell on the right side of the main doors (with the mural) and we will deliver your box to you outside.
If you are unable to come at this time, please call the office to make alternate arrangements at 780-542-5544.

WRSD Students to Start 2020-21 School Year in Evergreen

WRSD is excited to let parents know that the construction of the Evergreen replacement school has been going very well and will be ready for students for the beginning of this school year. Those students who were attending Eldorado and have registered for Evergreen school will be starting the year in the new school. Although like any new building, not everything will be fully finished, it will be functional and safe for students and staff while the remainder of the work is completed. The remaining work to be done is minor and will not present any safety concerns. Work will be scheduled to minimize disruptions to school operations.

This move will also allow for Drayton Christian School to move to the Eldorado side of their building to make better use of the space in the school.

We thank everyone for their patience while we have been working with Alberta Infrastructure and Alberta Education to be ready to share this information. Further information will be forthcoming from Evergreen School and Drayton Christian School to their school communities regarding re-entry for students.

As I am enjoying the last few days of accessing my refrigerator and grabbing a snack without much planning, I searched for some lunch ideas, and found a few websites. What are your children's favorite school snacks? or lunches? At Evergreen School, we do have a balanced day so students will have a snack around 10:30, and then a longer eating time around 1:00. We have found some of our littles appreciate two smaller meals, as well, instead of the one big lunch. Those brains and bodies need some healthy selections to optimize their learning superpowers!! COVID-wise there will be no sharing of food. Also, we will be splitting up eating times and recesses so our playground has fewer students at each recess time.
