The Pembina Crisis Connection Society has an upcoming Community Education Workshop Series coming up in Drayton Valley.

NEW FOR FALL 2026 — PCCS COMMUNITY EDUCATION WORKSHOP SERIES 🌿
We’re excited to introduce a new series of FREE community education workshops happening right here in Drayton Valley!

Beginning August 27, Pembina Crisis Connection Society will be hosting workshops throughout the fall covering topics that can make a real difference for individuals, families, and our community.

We’ll be talking about domestic violence beyond physical abuse, healthy relationships and boundaries, Red Flag Laws & Emergency Prohibition Orders, supporting someone experiencing abuse, family law, financial empowerment, government and community supports, housing options, tenant rights, and more.

These workshops are for everyone.

You do not need to be experiencing abuse to attend. These sessions are also for family members, friends, neighbours, professionals, service providers, and anyone who simply wants to learn more about recognizing abuse, building healthy relationships, understanding available options, and supporting others.

Our first workshop is August 27 — Understanding Domestic Violence: It’s More Than Physical.

PLUS — every workshop you attend gives you another chance to win a gift card in our December 11 draw!

We’ll be sharing individual workshop posters, more information about each topic, resources, and guest-speaker updates as we get closer to each date — so follow our page and share this post to help us spread the word.

We can't believe that the Pumpkin Walk is already coming up. Where did summer go? Please give us feedback on your experience, as we are currently in the planning stages of the Walk for 2026!

🎃 Okay Pumpkin Walk fans—we need your help!

Planning is underway for our 2026 Forbidden Forest Pumpkin Walk, and this year we want YOU to help us make it even better.

If you've attended before, we'd love your thoughts:

How can we improve the parking and arrival experience?

What do you think about the length of the walk—too long, too short, or just right?

What kind of entertainment would you love to see along the trail?

What could we add that would make the experience even more magical?

And what is the ONE thing about the Pumpkin Walk that we absolutely shouldn't change?

We can't promise we'll be able to make every suggestion happen, but your feedback will help us as we plan this year's event.

We are looking forward to being a part of the Resource Fair at the Skateboard Jam. Hope to see you there!

Registration for the Skateboard Competition will be from 12pm to 1pm. Helmets must be worn to compete! 🛹 Prizes to be won!

*Waivers must be signed by a guardian for competition riders under 18 years old*

We are excited to be partnering with the Drayton Valley Library this summer and bringing our friends the Worry Woos! Sign up on the library website and join us!

Our camps are now all full! We will be contacting caregivers who have registered their children in our camps with any concerns we may have and if they are on the attendee or wait list. Watch your emails!

We have a note on the Glitter and Glow Camp to be aware of and our August Drop Zone Camp will be at the Pembina Nordic Ski Trails.

We still have room! NEW DATE - A fun night for teens is planned for June 18. Register your teen by June 12 for a fun game of Scrabble, good eats and the chance to make connections working together with a team!
