Most high school students don't get to step inside a real research lab – but this summer, a group of local students did exactly that. 🧪

Through our ENRICH program (Empowering the Next Generation through Research Internships in Child Health), students are working side-by-side with scientists at Children's Health Research Institute, gaining hands-on experience and a real look at careers in science and medicine.

The update we have been waiting for, AJ is bringing home some new hardware - 5 pieces to be exact from the Special Olympics summer games in Medicine Hat, Alberta!

Silver long jump (1cm away from tying for gold)
Bronze 100m (3 seconds away from silver)

We’re all cheering AJ on!!!

Next week, we’re cheering on A.J. as he competes for Team Ontario at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in Medicine Hat, Alta. He’s a regular at TVCC’s Adapted Fitness Centre, where he works out with specialized equipment provided by CHF donors.

What makes A.J.’s road to the Special Olympics unique? Just two years ago, he could only walk with orthotics on his legs. Today, he’s a champion in long jump, shot put and javelin.

Canada will play for gold at the NORCECA Girls’ U19 Continental Championship after a 3-0 (25-20, 26-24, 25-18) victory over Mexico on Thursday evening 👏👏👏

With this result, Canada will meet the United States in the gold-medal match on Friday at 4 pm in Costa Rica (6 pm EDT), while Mexico and Puerto Rico will compete for 🥉NorcecaInfo
