Roseau Valley School Roseau Valley School is a kindergarten to grade 12 school located in Dominion City, Manitoba. and about 1 hour south of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Dominion City is located about 10 minutes from the border between Manitoba, Canada and North Dakota, United States. We are part of the Border Land School Division.

Hello RVS Families,

For the 2026–2027 school year, we are pleased to let RVS families and students know that we will be continuing our Free Lunch Program!

Did you know that "Nello’s Law" is Manitoba’s legislation that makes school nutrition a permanent part of the public education system? It is named after former Manitoba Education Minister and Transcona MLA Nello Altomare, who was the driving force behind Manitoba’s universal school nutrition program.

Did you know that Roseau Valley School serves over 200 meals a day? That is more than 1000 meals a week!

Please see posters below for important information regarding Roseau Valley School's Free Lunch Program. We have made small changes to increase efficiency in our current model.

For 9-12 Students who have been asking, here is the school supply list!

GRADE 9-12 School Supply List

2 packages loose leaf (500) (necessary for ALL classes)

1 pkg graph paper sheets

Pencils, red pen, pens, erasers, 30-cm ruler, markers, pencil crayons

Sharp scissors

2 Large glue sticks

1-1/8th stereo jack headphones

1 Geometry Set (we recommend a clear plastic protractor and a compass which has an arm-tightener)

1 SCIENTIFIC calculator with sin,cos,tan keys (example: ½)

5 duotangs

5 scribblers

2 Three-ring Binders (1 different binder for each subject)

Water Bottle

T-Shirt/Shorts/Runners/towel for Phys. Ed.

Supply list for Home Ec Sewing will be sent home later

Art Students: 1 Sketchbook, 1 set drawing pencils & erasers

We are gearing up for Back to School for RVS!
We have some important dates that we want families to know about!

Wednesday, September 9th: RVS Kickstart
The purpose of RVS Kickstart is for students to meet their teachers, take tours of the school, 9-12 students to finalize their schedules, pick up timetables, and come in and register for school (if you have not done so already).
**If you have not registered and would like to come in for a registration package, please email [email protected] to arrange a time.

Thursday, September 10th: First Day of K-8 Classes and Grade 9 Orientation (Buses will be running this day).
**All families who have registered have received an email with details regarding their child's schedule and details about this day. So please check your email and see poster below.

Friday, September 11th: First Day of Classes for 9-12 and First Day for RRTVA students

These tables are the newest addition to our lunch space at RVS. We are able to fold them up and move them round as needed.
