Huge Thanks to the Devon Lions Club!
Yesterday was an incredibly special day at our school! We were absolutely blessed to welcome volunteers from the Devon Lions Club into our classrooms for a wonderful time of reading.
It was extra heartwarming to see some familiar faces, including some of our beloved retired staff members, back in the halls sharing their love of literacy with our students!
As if the gift of storytime wasn't enough, the Lions Club also:
Brought Canadian flags for our Grade 2 classrooms to spark some civic pride.
Generously presented us with a $200 cheque dedicated to growing our school library!
We are incredibly grateful for the Devon Lions Club's ongoing dedication to our students, our literacy programs, and our community. Thank you for investing in the next generation of readers!

Today, our Grade 4 students officially graduated from U School at the University of Alberta! A huge thank you to the University of Alberta Senate and all the amazing volunteers who made their U School experience possible.

If you have come to the school to help out, gone on a field trip, supplied food or treats to the classes, photocopied, laminated, worked hot lunch, put away library books, read to kids, tied skates, or gone on a walk (you get the idea)... we hope you can stop by for a little "Pick-Me-Up"!
