Most beginners aren’t failing—they were just never taught the full picture.
These are the first things I help my students fix.
You don’t need more talent—you need guidance.

#1: Lashing live models is going to give you the best experience. Mannequins are great to use to practice isolation and placement but the real work is understanding your clients needs for health and safety and troubleshooting in real time.

#2: Never compare your progress to anyone else. What we’re not seeing behind those amazing photos is the hard work & dedication it took to achieve that perfect cat eye. Everyone’s progress is going to be different so keep your head up and continue to do you girl!

#3: Most aspiring Lash Artists sign up to learn how to do lash extensions wanting to skip right through to offering advanced techniques like volume and mega volume. Understanding the fundementals like isolation, placement, design, and how your adhesive works is key to being a great lash artist. Stick to the fundamentals and offering 1-to-1 techniques until your sets look flawless and your clients are getting 3-4 weeks retention with their sets.

It’s important to know how to remove lash extensions before working on a live model.
Using the Banana Peel technique is a simple and effective way to remove outgrown or misplaced lash extensions.

The only tools needed is your pick up & isolation tweeze.

My Rapid Bond Pro is suitable for lash artists at all skill levels.
It’s wide range of humidity specs 35%-65% is perfect for our Canadian Climate of having humidity fluctuations through the day.

Humidity also allows the glue to range from a 0.5-2sec. The closer you are to the 35% range will make it a slower dry which is perfect if you are working on your handmade volume skills and need a little extra time to secure the wrap. It’s also a quick dry 0.5-1sec when you hold your room humidity around 50%-65%
