Delta Early Childhood Education Program The Delta Early Childhood Education Program includes the Basic E.C.E. Certificate and both Post-Basic certificates (Special Needs and Infant/ Toddler).

DELTA EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAM
The Delta Early Childhood Education Program includes the Basic E.C.E. The Basic Certificate meets the academic requirements necessary to apply for a Certificate as an Early Childhood Educator in British Columbia. Post-Basic courses allow Basic Certificate holders to pursue the additional License to Practice as a Special Needs Educator (working with children requiring extra support) and/or the License to Practice as an Infant/ Toddler Educator (working with children under 30 months of age). Students may opt to complete only one Post-Basic specialization and receive a certificate in that specialty, or complete both specializations to complete their Diploma.

Congratulations to EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION 2021 graduates!

The 2021 graduates of the Delta Early Childhood Education program held their June 17 celebration on-line in the same manner as most of their classes were held over the past year.

The celebration was led by program coordinator, Lisa Nicholson, and graduates’ individual accomplishments were described by instructors, Jennifer Vandenberg and Kathy Price. Instructor, Christine Roskelley, performed a song she wrote with inspiration from students and instructors. The song reflected the unique experience of learning during the pandemic:

“…You built community, you made good friends.
And now know learning never ends.
We’re parting ways with memories dear.
And ‘YOU’RE ON MUTE’ was the quote of the year.”
