Hot Lunch is Back Tomorrow!

In our quest to bring back a sense of normal to South Park, we are very happy that hot lunch is back tomorrow. To those parents who might wonder how we will safely pull this off in times of COVID, here are some of the steps we have taken to make this a 'no contact' event:
- any parent volunteers will have to complete the Daily Health Check, and follow COVID and food safe protocols. This will include physical distancing in the gym (where the orders will be assembled) along with masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, etc.
- we have simplified the menu to minimize the number of volunteers
- once the orders are assembled, the parent volunteers leave. When they are gone, student volunteers pick up the orders per division
- the biggest difference for the kids will be that unfortunately, there will not be a concession stand. Only pre-ordered food will be available.

We will talk about ways that we want to support the school community, provide the beloved hot lunch events and raise funds. Bring your own ideas and inputs - if you are a parent of a current South Park Student, you are a voting member!

With the Labour Day Weekend just around the corner - it's time to think about school again. Please consider supporting your PAC - there are so many ways to do it!

It is great to see that the appreciation at South Park goes both ways!

Thank you teachers, admin, and staff for making school one of the most normal things we had over the last school year!
