The CUPE local 1091 union represents and supports our members who work for the Delta School District which is located on the traditional territory of the scəw̓̓ aθən məsteyəx ʷ (Tsawwassen) and xʷməθkʷəy̓̓əm (Musqueam) First Nations. Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 1091, Delta Schools support staff, the union representing Clerical, Custodial, Education Assistants and Maintenance staff, helping the students of Delta to succeed on their journeys of life long learning.

Come out and join CUPE 1091 and 728 to support the nurses at Surrey Memorial Hospital. I know many are assuming this is about wages, but it is not. It is about poor working conditions, lack of support, staffing and of course violence. Support Staff in the school district know violence and understaffing is a huge issue.

On April 28, CUPE members across the country gather to honour workers who have been killed or injured on the job. We mourn the loss of four members of our CUPE family in 2025:
-Miguel Escalante Ledesma, CUPE 1000, Ontario
-Nabil El-Ahmed, CUPE 5167, Ontario
-Kulbir Kalia, CUPE 3338, British Columbia
-Jose Castillo, CUPE 416, Ontario
We also mourn the very recent loss of the following members:
-Richard Anstett, CUPE 79, Ontario
-Neil Harris, CUPE 54, Ontario
We hope you will join CUPE members and workers around the world in renewing our shared commitment to preventing workplace injuries and deaths and ensuring the health and safety of all workers.
