On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we stand in solidarity with Indigenous Peoples across Canada.

This day honours residential school Survivors, remembers the children who never returned home, and recognizes the lasting harm inflicted on families and communities.

Reconciliation is rooted in listening to truth, confronting denial, and taking concrete steps, today and every day to build a more just and inclusive future.

Let's commit to listening, learning, and walking together on the path of truth and reconciliation. Every child matters — yesterday, today, and always.

Come out and join CUPE 1091 and 728 to support the nurses at Surrey Memorial Hospital. I know many are assuming this is about wages, but it is not. It is about poor working conditions, lack of support, staffing and of course violence. Support Staff in the school district know violence and understaffing is a huge issue.
