Our hands in the hives mentorship program doesn’t only give you hands on beekeeping practice in our apiary. It also allows you to experience the temperament and growth of hives from some of the queens we sell.
Here we are pictured with an overwintered colony from a Queen that came out of winter very well. The Queen and colony went through a full dose formic acid treatment from in April, then another single pad in June. That didn’t set them back from growing to heights beyond some’s ability to lift. The colony has a nice temperament a strong population, abundant foragers and good honey stores.
We have 4 Saskatraz queens left from Wednesday’s delivery - come get one today!
Helpful Tip - for those that have a hard time finding eggs, take a photo or video then zoom in for a better view 🔎
Still a few spaces left for tomorrow mornings mentorship session 🐝

Great class last Saturday checking on the Chilean packages that were installed on March 26th.
The bees have built up nicely and are storing nectar and producing honey. We will continue to manage these ones in 6 frame deep sized equipment for the season.
