What a perfect day for some water play! With the warm weather and sunshine, the children enjoyed a refreshing ๐ช๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฎ๐ filled with squirting water sticks, lots of laughter, and plenty of fun! ๐ฆ๐ The perfect way to cool off while enjoying the sunshine and playing with friends.
With a few of our friends away today and one of our teachers home sick, we had the opportunity to ๐ท๐ผ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐๐ผ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ผ๐บ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ด๐ฒ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ for the day. ๐ฅฐ It turned into such a lovely way to end the week โ spending time, playing, and making memories with friends and educators from another room that we donโt always get to see!

Inspired by Scribble Stones, we took our creativity outdoors for a park and art adventure! ๐ซถ๐ป
Just like the little stone in the story who discovers that he can bring colour and happiness to others, the children transformed ordinary stones into their own colourful creations using bright acrylic markers. ๐๐ชจ
But the creativity didnโt stop there! We gathered sticks from around the park and combined them with colourful yarn to create some amazing nature-inspired art. ๐งถ๐ฟ
Stones, sticks, yarn, imagination and the great outdoors โ the perfect combination for a beautiful afternoon of creativity and exploration! ๐๐จ๐ซถ๐ป
๐ฆ๐ฆ A Magical Unicorn Sundae Adventure! โจ๐
Unicorn magic came to life in our ice cream cups today! ๐ฆโจ Our group daycare friends had so much fun creating our very own magical sundaes with colourful sprinkles and delicious gummies. ๐๐ฌ
The children used their creativity, made their own choices, and had so much fun designing their perfect sweet treat. Of course, the best part was getting to enjoy their creations together! ๐๐ฆ
A day filled with creativity, smiles, sweet treats, and a little bit of unicorn magic! ๐ฆ๐โจโฅ๏ธ
๐ฟ๐ผ Nature Play at the ELC ๐ผ๐ฟ
As summer begins to wind down, weโve been making the most of the beautiful natural materials all around us! โ๏ธ๐
The children headed outside to collect a variety of plants, flowers, stones and small branches to create their very own nature plates. ๐ธ๐ชจ๐ฟ One child even had the wonderful idea of blowing dandelion seeds onto their plate and sticking them down โ we love seeing their own creative ideas come to life! ๐ฅฐ
We continued our nature-inspired art by using cream paint to create patterns on pieces of wood and stones before decorating them with flowers and other treasures we had collected. ๐จ๐ผ
Everyone was fascinated by this unique way of creating art โ exploring different textures, materials and possibilities while letting their imaginations lead the way. ๐

โจ๐ช Magical Hair Day! ๐ชโจ
We had such a wonderful time celebrating Magical Hair Day! ๐ Our daycare friends loved having their hair transformed with fun and creative styles, colourful ribbons, sparkles and glitter! ๐โจ๐
The best part was seeing their faces light up when they got to see their magical new looks! ๐ฅฐ So many smiles, giggles and excited reactions!
And of courseโฆ even Miss Nav got in on the action! ๐๐ Because Magical Hair Day isnโt just for the kiddos!

Our OSC friends turned the windows into their very own colourful canvas today! ๐๏ธ๐๐๐
Using tape to create different shapes and sections, the children filled each space with bright colours, watching their designs grow piece by piece. But the BEST part was still to comeโฆ ๐

There was so much curiosity and anticipation as they carefully pulled away the tape to reveal the crisp lines and colourful patterns underneath. The smiles on their faces as their artwork was revealed said it all! ๐ซถ๐ป
A little paint, a little tape, lots of creativityโฆ and a pretty amazing visual treat decorating our windows! ๐โจ
Sometimes the magic of art is just as much about the reveal as it is the creating. ๐ฅฐ๐จ

๐ปโจ A Fairy-Tale Day in DC! โจ๐ป
Today our DC friends stepped into the world of Goldilocks and the Three Bears for a day filled with fairy-tale fun! ๐๐
From storytelling and imaginative play to hands-on activities and creative exploration, the children had so much fun bringing this classic story to life. ๐ป๐ป๐ป
There was lots of creating, exploring, pretending and, of course, plenty of discussion about what was too big, too small and juuuust right! ๐๐ฅฃ๐ช๐๏ธ
We love seeing familiar stories spark new ideas and inspire our little learners to use their imaginations in so many different ways. โจ๐ฅฐ

๐๐ฆ๐ Adventures galore in ELC today! ๐๐๐ฅฐ
Wow โ what a busy, eventful and FUN day our ELC friends had today!
First, we loaded up our wagon and hopped on the bus to Memorial Park, where we met the amazing Miss Natalie from the Ladner Pioneer Library for an action-packed and engaging story time! ๐โจ The children loved listening, participating and getting caught up in all the fun.
Then it was time to play, play, PLAY in the water park! ๐ฆโ๏ธ And oh my goodnessโฆ it was AMAZING! ๐ Smiles, laughter and shouts of glee were everywhere as our friends splashed, ran and soaked up every minute of it!
After all that excitement, we were definitely ready for lunch! We settled in for a picnic together ๐งบ๐ฅช, complete with a special little treat โ Funfetti cookies from Miss Jennifer! ๐ช๐
But we were having way too much fun to head back just yet! ๐ So after lunch, we extended our adventure and spent even more time exploring and playing on the playgrounds before finally catching the bus back to C&S. ๐๐
PHEW! What a day! ๐
