After 2 days of competition, we will be returning to Nova Scotia with 2 Double Gold World Champions!! Winning both Patterns and Sparring, Lauren Melanson and Nick Farguson went undefeated in the 2023 ICTF Open World Championships! Beating both ICTF and ITF clubs from around the world, they brought their "A game" and cleaned house. Way to go Champions!
More pictures and info to follow, but it's been a long tournament in an Italian heat wave, so we all need a rest

After our first day of competition, we have 2 World Champions!! Canada as a whole has done exceptionally well, and capped with Lauren and Nick winning gold in patterns! They did a fantastic job against some tough competition. Congratulations! Tomorrow is Sparring!

Ms.Melanson is heading to Italy for the 2023 ICTF World Championships! The tournament is July 14-16. We've been training for months, and with the tournament fast approaching, she is ready to go. I have the pleasure of accompanying her as her coach as she goes for the highest level of competition we have. This is a huge undertaking, but she is as prepared as we can be.

Very proud of our Paragons! Saturday we participated in the 2023 ICTF Maritime Championships, and had a great showing. Walked away with 5 gold medals/trophies, 8 silver medals, and 4 bronze! Not too shabby for 7 participates I'd say! I am very proud of you all.
Win or lose, tournaments can really teach you so much about yourself. I hope you all left reinvigorated to improve your training and keep being the best martial artist you can be!

Special congratulations to Ms.Ariella Drew for taking on the challenge of judging her first big tournament, and Mr.Christopher Drew for getting to Center Referee his first big tournament! As you get to red belt/black belt, tournaments offer a new opportunity to learn and grow through judging, so I'm proud that you both sought out a new challenge for your skills. Keep it up!

Reminder: Mr.Christopher Drew will be testing for his 2nd Degree this week! Physical Test is tomorrow at 4pm at the Met field in Sackville, the Performance Test will be Thursday at 6pm at the dojang!

Congratulations Simeon Drew on achieving his 1st Dan Black Belt tonight. Hard won, but well earned. Simeon has worked exceptionally hard, overcoming obstacles and setbacks, and always pushing himself more and more. Truly a Paragon of Perseverance. On to the new stage of his Taekwon-do career!
