Looking for the perfect first classroom experience for your child?

For over 50 years, Colby Village Preschool has been a trusted part of our community, helping children build confidence, friendships, and a love of learning before they begin school.

We currently have one Monday to Friday space and a limited number of Tuesday/Thursday spaces in our preschool program for children aged 2.5–5 years available for September 2026.

Today we had a very special visitor to the upstairs classroom. Our very own CVP alumni and Space Expert.
This little guy came in and did an hour long engaging and educational presentation on everything outer space! Each child was able to pull an item out of a brown paper bag and then the kids learned all about the item and how it is used in space, they even got to hold and pass around the items for a close up look.

Next a story about the planets was shared before heading to the table to do an art project where everyone created their own planet.

The work that went into this project was "out of this world" 🌎

Watching children learn from children is pure magic.

Visiting our garden to see everything the sneaky gnome left us on the weekend.

This weekend, CVP received a very special visit from Norm the Garden Gnome!

While everyone was away, Norm worked his gnome magic to help make our garden fresh, beautiful, and full of new garden friends. Tiny treasures, colorful plants, and magical surprises are now tucked throughout the garden just waiting to be discovered by curious little explorers.

As you visit the garden, we invite everyone to slow down, look closely, listen carefully, smell the flowers, and enjoy all the wonderful sensory experiences nature has to offer. You may spot a crooked mushroom, hear buzzing pollinators, feel soft leaves, or discover tiny hidden friends peeking out from beneath the plants.

To help keep our garden beautiful all summer long, please remember to use gentle feet and careful hands. Many of our plants, decorations, and tiny garden friends are delicate and can easily be stepped on or disturbed. By being mindful of where we walk and explore, we can all help protect the magic Norm left behind for everyone to enjoy.
