We are so excited for our Outdoor fun day on our last day of school!!

This semester, students in Creative Writing 20 explored a variety of writing forms, including poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, script writing, monologues, and podcasts. Along the way, they discovered their unique voices, took creative risks, and further developed their skills as writers and communicators.

For their final project, students created newspapers focused on societal issues that mattered to them, combining research, storytelling, poetry, script analysis, and reflection into creative and meaningful final products.

The return of Creative Writing 20 to CKCS was an exciting opportunity, and the creativity, growth, and dedication demonstrated by these talented writers made the semester truly memorable. Keep writing!! ✍️🐻

Today we celebrated Indigenous Peoples Day! Students made beaded bracelets, had homeade bannock and blueberry jam and we ended our day with a round dance!! Huge thank you to Ms Brenda, Ms Alex and Mrs Andrea B for taking time out of your day to make the bannock and jam!

Our last week of school is next week and our last week of hot lunches. Thank you to Jo Eva's Cafe for the lunches provided from January through to the end of June!

The past two weeks have been busy and exciting at Cut Knife Community School! We hosted the Grade 5/6 Soccer Tournament on June 2nd and had our Elementary Track & Field Day on June 8th!

A huge thank you to all the staff, students, and community volunteers who helped make these events a success. We would also like to extend a big thank the Town of Cut Knife for spraying the track and Lyle Cronk for tilling up our long jump pits.
