Our days are built around connection, play, and calm structure helping little ones feel safe, curious, and loved every step of the way. 💛

Here’s what a typical day looks like:
🥣 7–8 AM: Arrival & breakfast
🧩 8–9 AM: Free play & exploration
🎶 9:30 AM: Circle time (songs, stories, weather)
🌳 10–11 AM: Outdoor play & movement
🍽️ 11:30 AM: Lunch & connection time
🎨 12–12:30 PM: Arts & crafts
😴 12:45–2:45 PM: Nap / quiet time
🍎 2:45–3:15 PM: Snack
🏗️ 3:15–5 PM: Free play & outdoor time

Even though we’re waiting on the new flooring before we can set everything up, I’ve been spending my days dreaming, planning, and organizing behind the scenes 🌿

It’s amazing how much heart goes into creating a space where children can feel safe, curious, and loved. Every detail from the layout to the learning corners is being designed with connection, play, and growth in mind 💕

🌿 Meet the Family Behind Growing Oaks Dayhome! 🌿

Hi everyone! I wanted to take a moment to introduce our family and share a little bit about who we are.

My husband, Scott, and I have been married for five wonderful years and are the proud parents of four amazing kiddos ages 14, 12, 6, and 2! Scott works in the oilfield, and my background is in community support work and childrearing, though once upon a time I was also a heavy equipment operator!

We recently relocated to Crossfield this summer and are so excited to plant roots in this incredible community. When we arrived, I quickly noticed the lack of childcare options in town and felt called to help in the best way I could. That’s how Growing Oaks Dayhome was born out of a genuine passion for education, inclusion, and creating a safe, nurturing space for little ones to grow and thrive.

Planning and organizing new adventures, activities, and creative ways of learning is my jam so I can’t wait to bring that energy to life with your littles each day!

At Growing Oaks, we value connection, inclusion, and play-based, nature-inspired learning. Every child is encouraged to explore, imagine, and learn at their own pace in an environment that feels just like home.

And a fun fact about our family, Scott and I actually met right here in Crossfield years ago because of our families! It feels so special to have come full circle and be building our life and business in the very place where our story began.

We can’t wait to meet your family, welcome your children into our dayhome, and grow together just like the oaks our name was inspired by. 🌱

I’m so happy to share that Growing Oaks Licensed Dayhome will be opening its doors within the next month or so right here in Crossfield! 🎉

This has been a dream come true creating a warm, nurturing space where children can learn, grow, and feel at home. With a background in early childhood care and support work, my goal is to provide an environment that celebrates every child’s unique strengths while helping them thrive socially, emotionally, and creatively. 🌱

We’re currently finishing up renovations, doing the safety checks and preparing the space, and I’ll be sharing updates along the way including:
