My name is Marcia and I am a mother of 2 girls. I opened my day home August 2013. I have my IRC, criminal record, and first aid as well as hold my Level 2 certificate in ELCC. In my day home we do child-led and play based learning. This means imagination, sensory play, outings and outdoors. We explore books and music. We use gross motor and fine motor activities. We spend a lot of time outdoors, weather permitting, which allows the kids to do what they do best and that is run and play but we can’t forget exploration in nature which opens conversations bring in social skills. We also sing and dance and take turns telling stories. We create through crafts whether it be using recycled items, colouring books, sets, or loose parts. I offer full-time care, part-time care, and before and after school care. My hours are Monday to Friday 6:30am to 5:30pm. I offer healthy snacks and a balanced lunch as per the Canada Food Guide. I also transport to the Crossfield playschool and Elementary school. My Government Approved Regulated Day Home offers quality and reliable care that every parent can count on. Subsidy and the Affordability Grant are available to qualifying families.
