The letter below is circulating from another club, a big affiliate. They can run things however they want. We do it differently.

If you earn a belt in our club, it comes from hard work, consistency, and proving your skills on the mats. You will never be charged for a belt test. In fact, you'll never be "tested" for a belt at all, because that happens every day you roll.

You might be asked to demo your skills, but that isn't a test. If you're asked to demo, you've already passed.

Private lessons are available too, at a far more reasonable rate than what you'll see in that letter. They exist for one reason: to dial in your specific game, whether you're preparing for an upcoming competition or trying to break through a plateau.

Be proud of the team you're on. It's not easy, but we think we do it right.

Oss.
