I wonder if Marie Kondo is still folding all her kids clothes like this after she admitted publicly recently that she doesn't tidy the same way now that she has 3 kids?!

For all the moms out there who still aspire to this standard....its okay if your kids clean clothes sit in the laundry basket folded haphazardly for a week - or a month if I'm honest about what happens at my house!

But truly though, this is the best way to fold your clothes (and your kids clothes too!) so that you can see what you actually have when you open the drawer. I'm helping a client tidy up her drawers tomorrow and will be using these same folding techniques from the method.

Year upon year means the average family can accumulate many items and if we don't take the time to evaluate what we own, our belongings will soon own us and our space.

This room needed to function as a multi-purpose bedroom for a young working adult, tucked away family home office, linen closet and more, but first we had to sort through nearly every item in the room. True organization can be a lengthy process, but it is well worth the effort...just look at this transformation!!

What steps we took:
a. Remove all items from the room (closets included) and purge what wasn't needed or move it to a more appropriate space within the home
b. Rearrange and swap out some furniture to allow this room to function better as a bedroom
c. Replace items into the bedroom, office area and linen closets as needed, arranging in a functional and esthetically pleasing way.
