2026 General Local Elections in British Columbia

The next general local elections will be held this year on October 17, 2026.

Voting in general local elections is an important way for people to take part in local government decision-making and have a say in their communities. By sharing clear information about how to vote, voter eligibility, how to register to vote and voting for people living on reserve, we can help more people participate and have a voice in the decisions that affect their communities.

🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation | September 30 🧡

EVENT INFORMATION:
Guest Speakers, Commemorative Walk, and Lunch in Recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

📅 Wednesday, September 30, 2026

Reconciliation is rooted in the places where we live, learn, and build community. Local gatherings create opportunities to listen to Indigenous voices and deepen our understanding of the histories, cultures, and lived experiences connected to the lands around us.

Across the communities where CBAL offers programs, we live and learn on the traditional and unceded territories of the Ktunaxa, Lheidli T’enneh, Secwépemc, Sinixt, and Syilx Nations, and alongside Métis communities and citizens.

🧡 Every community has a story. 🧡
