Introducing our new second grade teacher, Ms.Macon

My name is Grace Macon and I am a proud Texas Longhorn! I’m so excited to be teaching in Austin, a city that truly has my heart. After graduating in 2020 with a BS Radio-Television-Film, I moved to Los Angeles to work in the film and television industry. I spent the spring semester as a substitute teacher for middle school and high school classes in my hometown of D’Hanis. I’m thrilled to be back in my home state and look forward to sharing my experience and passions in the classroom as well as being a part of this community.

Introducing a new 4th grade teacher:
Hello everyone, my name is Angela Wilder, and I am so excited and honored to be one of your 4th grade teachers this year. I have just recently graduated from Huston-Tillotson University in May and have been dreaming of having my first group of amazing kiddos. I love to come up with fun ways of learning to get students excited to learn. I had teachers/coaches who changed my perspective on life and weren't just teachers but mentors, friends, and counselors. It wasn't until my senior year of high school that I decided I wanted to go into education. My biggest goal in life is to help the younger generation be successful in life and be able to impact them in positive ways that will transform them into amazing adults. I truly believe that the younger generation is the start and as an educator it is my job to help make sure they become the best versions of themselves. I am super excited to be a part of the Blackshear family and look forward to seeing and meeting everyone soon.
