Having children walk and explore in nature is an incredible thing.
Snacktime turns into an beautiful blending of question asking, pondering and inquisitiveness.
We learned the names of different bugs, why they might be called that (colour, shape or other!). We followed their tracks up and down the log, under the peeling bark and through small crevices.

Without knowing it, they are still at school. Every wild lesson progressing through hands on, nature based learning.
Our wild-ones build their shelter and ponder many aspects:
What size sticks do they need?
Where will the entrance be?
Will they all fit inside?
As educators, we see:
Problem solving between peers
Growth of spatial awareness,
Development of motor skills,
The list goes on, as do the adventures.
