Race Week is here! Starting today, Monday, April 27, we are celebrating everything that makes the Kootenay Fun 5 special.

Students, wear your race shirt every day this week to show your spirit. Did you know there are now 10 different race shirts to choose from? Let’s see them all across the school.

A reminder for families: we have an opportunity to bless our Kootenay Fun 5 volunteers. If you are able, please bring a potluck item on May 1 to help feed the team that makes this event possible. Email Trish at [email protected] to let her know you can contribute.

KCA family package pick-up will take place Thursday, April 30 in the foyer from 2:30 to 4:30 pm.

Friendly reminder to bring your bottles this Thursday, April 23.

Drop-off is easy. You can leave them on the front lawn at the Kiss n Go in the morning or bring them by anytime that works for you throughout the day.

Every bottle makes a difference. Proceeds from this fundraiser go directly toward supporting our graduates with banquet and commencement costs.

Thank you for helping us celebrate this year’s grads.

We’re inviting our Kootenay Fun 5 families to help fuel the day.

If you’re able, consider contributing a dish to our volunteer lunch. A casserole, potato salad, macaroni salad, or any favourite that travels well and feeds a crowd is welcome. It’s a simple way to support the people who make the event run.

He is risen.

“Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen.” — Luke 24:5–6

Today we celebrate the victory of Jesus over sin and death, and the hope that comes with His resurrection. Because He lives, we are offered new life, new beginnings, and a future filled with purpose and promise.

May this Easter be a reminder that no matter what we face, hope is alive.

Today we pause and reflect on Good Friday. This is a day that reminds us of Christ’s sacrifice and the depth of His love for us. Jesus willingly went to the cross, taking on sin and brokenness so that we could be forgiven, restored, and brought into new life with Him.

It’s a moment to slow down, take it in, and consider what that kind of love means for each of us.

As we head into the Easter weekend, we hope you find a bit of space to reflect, reconnect, and rest.

Grandparents hold a treasured place in the lives of our students and we are delighted to have you join us for a special Grandparent easter Celebration honouring the love, wisdom, encouragement, and faith you pour into the next generation. Come ready for joyful easter performances, refreshments and classroom visits hosted by your grandkids! The program begins at 1:00 PM in the Gym.

Welcome back from Spring Break KCA Families. Just a few reminders this week before we take a few days to remember the miracle of our Saviour, Jesus!

Tomorrow, April 2nd is Grandparents Day! We are looking forward to welcoming all of our spectacular Grandmas, Grandpas and Grandfriends to an Easter performance hosted by our very own K-6 classes followed by classroom tours and refreshments. Please don't forget to invite your Grandparents - the festivities start at 1:00 PM!

Tomorrow will also be Green Shirt Day. This is a fun opportunity to wear your favourite green coloured shirt or jersey and show your school spirit!
