🤠🎉 What a fantastic day at the Medicine Hat Stampede Parade! 🎉🤠
Irvine School staff members Mrs. Kristjanson and Mrs. McHugh, along with Emersyn and Lyam Labrie, Keegan O’Brien, and Magnus and Izzy Kristjanson, joined Prairie Rose Public Schools employees and children in the parade today!
It was wonderful to see some of our Irvine School students watching along the parade route. There were so many amazing floats and creatively decorated vehicles—it was a fantastic parade!
A huge thank you to Lyam, Keegan, Magnus, and Izzy for wearing the Irvine School mascot with such pride! 🐾❤️ It was an incredibly hot day, so they were able to jump on the Prairie Rose school buses to switch out and take turns in the mascot costume.
Our mascot was a huge hit, with kids lining up along the parade route to watch and cheer! ❤️🤠
We also got to see two Irvine School Students Devyn & Brenna who are off to EBHS in the fall who were riding with the Medicine Hat Stampede.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so much fun!

What a busy week at Irvine School!
On Wednesday, we held our final awards ceremonies of the school year. We began with our Grade 7–9 awards, followed by our Grade 1–6 awards.
We are incredibly proud of all our students. It was wonderful to see them cheering on and celebrating the achievements of their classmates. Their support and school spirit truly make Irvine School a special place.
A sincere thank you to the companies and organizations that sponsor our awards. Without your support, we would not be able to provide these monetary awards to our students. Your generosity and commitment to recognizing student success do not go unnoticed.
Congratulations to all of our award recipients and to every student for their hard work throughout the school year!

On Tuesday, we celebrated our Grade 9 students with a special Grade 9 Farewell ❤️.
These students have been amazing, and for many of them, we have had the privilege of watching them grow through Irvine School from Kindergarten all the way to Grade 9. Each and every one of them deserves recognition for their achievements, hard work, and dedication throughout the years.
We would also like to recognize and thank those students who volunteered their time to stay in the office during lunch hours to help cover the phone. Your willingness to help and contribute to our school community has been greatly appreciated.
A special thank you goes out to the parents who brought side dishes, desserts, and other contributions to accompany the burgers. Your generosity helped make the evening even more special, and the students thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
You have made us proud, and we are excited to see what the future holds for you. As you begin your high school journey, we wish you all the very best and know that you will continue to accomplish great things.
As Mrs. Yeast always says, “You can do hard things.” ❤️
Congratulations, Grade 9s! We are proud of you and wish you success in all that lies ahead. 🎓🐯❤️

The fun didn’t stop for Grade 6!We enjoyed an exciting trip to the Telus Spark Science Centre in Calgary, toured the Medicine Hat Courthouse, and had a blast at Hooplas Mini Golf.
We also celebrated National Indigenous Peoples Day starting with a presentation from one of our students about their heritage! We continued with dreamcatcher making, fry bread, traditional games, and stories generously shared through the Irvine Library. To top it all off, Lindy and her son Hendrix visited our classroom to give us a special preview of the amazing animals that will be featured at this weekend’s Exotic Animal Showcase! How lucky are we to end the year with so many enriching, hands-on experiences and so much fun? A huge thank you to our teachers, staff, families, and community partners who help make opportunities like these possible. 💛
