Layout/Publications Coordinator - Brief Overview of The Position
Reporting to the Executive Assistant, the Layout/Publications Coordinator will be responsible for the
coordination, layout and revisions of all NNATC newsletters, brochures, publications and pamphlets.
The Coordinator will work collaboratively with all team members and partners to publish and/or
republish various edited works for the NNATC. This is a full-time position and a key part of the
NNATC organization, planning and development of programs and services. This is a job opportunity
position through Akwesasne Career & Employment Support Services (ACESS).

The Layout/Publications Coordinator is responsible for the following key functions:
• Layout and printing of books, articles and publications
• Assist with Cultural Designs and Presentations
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Kanienkehaka is an asset
• Experience meeting deadlines and working independently to achieve publishing objectives.
• Proficiency in computers
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to travel freely across the International Border between Canada and the U.S.

The applicant must meet the ACESS eligibility requirements.

Bookkeeping Clerk - Brief Overview of The Position
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Bookkeeping Clerk will assist with learning the bookkeeping
process for the Native North American Travelling College (NNATC). The Bookkeeping Clerk is a
full-time position and a key part of the NNATC organization, planning and development of programs
and services. This is a job opportunity position through Akwesasne Career & Employment Support
Services (ACESS).

The Bookkeeping Clerk position is responsible to train under the Financial Officer and assist in the
following key functions:
• Financial Record-keeping
• Maintenance of financial activities
• Reconciliation of Accounts
• Administration duties
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Grade 12 diploma and a commitment to learn bookkeeping skills in QuickBooks software.
• 2-year Certification in Bookkeeping is preferred but not necessary.
• Must be bondable.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of First Nations history, culture, and language.
• Proficiency in computers
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to travel freely across the International Border between Canada and the U.S.

CALL OUT FOR FURS & FEATHERS
The MCA Environment Program is seeking tanned muskrat, beaver, mink, and otter furs, as well as clean wild goose and duck feathers, for an upcoming exhibit at the Native North American Travelling College (NNATC) on Kawehnò:ke. Honoraria are available for accepted contributions.

Community members interested in contributing are encouraged to reach out by Monday, June 15, 2026.
