Beyond the Hormones: Women’s Health, Wisdom & the Power of Being Heard

TAGLINE
A woman’s body changes throughout her lifetime. Her right to be heard, understood, and cared for should never change.

DESCRIPTION
Grab your cup and join Miss Liz for an educational, empowering, and deeply personal conversation with Dr. Ricki Pollycove, a nationally recognized OB-GYN with over 40 years of clinical experience caring for women throughout their lives.

From fertility and motherhood to hormonal changes, menopause, sexual health, breast health, and healthy aging, Dr. Pollycove has dedicated her career to helping women understand their bodies and make informed decisions about their health.

Author of The Pocket Guide to Bioidentical Hormones, Dr. Pollycove has contributed scientific research on testosterone, female sexual dysfunction, osteoporosis, and menopause while continuing to educate medical professionals worldwide.

But behind the medical expertise is also a mother, grandmother, and woman who understands the demands of balancing family, career, and personal well-being.

Her T-E-E brings three meaningful words to the table:

LEARNING • LISTENING • HEALING

This Teatime will explore what happens when women are encouraged to ask questions, understand their changing bodies, challenge outdated assumptions, and become active participants in their healthcare.

Because women’s health is not simply about hormones.

It’s about being heard, respected, informed, and supported through every chapter of life.

☕ INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Teatime with Miss Liz, where we bring real stories, real experiences, and meaningful conversations to the table.

Grab your cup and let’s dig deep.

Today we’re talking about something that affects every woman, yet too often leaves women feeling confused, dismissed, or unheard.

Our health.

My guest is Dr. Ricki Pollycove, a nationally recognized OB-GYN who has spent more than four decades caring for women through every stage of their lives.

From bringing babies into the world to helping women navigate menopause, hormonal health, sexual wellness, and healthy aging, Dr. Pollycove has dedicated her career to understanding women’s changing health needs.

She’s an author, researcher, and medical educator whose work reaches healthcare professionals around the world.

But she’s also a mother and grandmother who raised her daughter as a single mom while building her medical career.

Today I want to go beyond the medical terminology and talk about what women genuinely need from healthcare.

Because being a patient should never mean losing your voice.

Dr. Ricki Pollycove is a nationally recognized OB-GYN, author, researcher, and women’s health educator with over 40 years of clinical experience. Author of The Pocket Guide to Bioidentical Hormones, she specializes in hormonal health, menopause, fertility, and healthy aging, empowering women through education, compassionate care, and informed medical decision-making throughout life.

CLOSING — FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Ricki, thank you for bringing your kindness, wisdom, and decades of medical experience to my table.

Today we’ve talked about hormones, menopause, motherhood, aging, and the many changes women experience throughout their lives.

But underneath all those conversations is something much bigger. The importance of being heard. Too many women learn to normalize discomfort. To dismiss their exhaustion.

To minimize their pain.
To put themselves last.
And sometimes to accept answers even when important questions remain.
But our bodies deserve attention.
Our concerns deserve investigation.
And our voices deserve respect.

Ricki brought three words to our table:
Learning. Listening. Healing.
Learning helps us understand.
Listening helps us recognize what matters.
And healing requires more than simply telling someone their symptoms are normal.

It requires care, knowledge, compassion, and sometimes the courage to keep searching for answers.

So here is today’s food for thought:

A woman should never have to prove how much she is suffering before someone takes her seriously. Her voice deserves to be part of her healthcare from the very beginning.

Your age does not erase your worth. Your changing body does not diminish your identity. And asking questions does not make you difficult. It makes you an active participant in your own health.Until next time, keep making a difference one cup at a time.

YOU are all the TEA. Add me, and together we become a TEAM OF CHANGE.

Failing Upwards: The Stories That Build Brands—and People

Tagline:
Your story doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful. It just has to be authentically yours.

DESCRIPTION
Grab your cup and join Miss Liz for a creative and honest conversation with Hilary Young, Brand Marketing Strategist with 20 years of professional storytelling experience.

Before building brands, Hilary worked in television production with The Colbert Report, HBO, MTV, VH1, and CollegeHumor.com, including sponsored-content partnerships.

Eventually, the medium changed—but storytelling remained.

Today, Hilary works alongside entrepreneurs and marketing teams to develop authentic brand voices, tell stories that connect with the right people, and turn that connection into measurable results.

Born and raised in New York and now living in Philadelphia, Hilary describes herself as warm and open, loves varying shades of pink, and brings three powerful words to the Teatime table:

STORYTELLING • AUTHENTICITY • CONNECTION

And her journey?

Failing upwards. No regrets. Evolving, always.

This conversation goes beyond logos, algorithms, and marketing tactics.

We’re talking about finding your voice, knowing when to evolve, learning from failure, creating genuine connection, and understanding why the most powerful brand may simply be the one that knows exactly what story it is here to tell.

 INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Teatime with Miss Liz, where every cup brings a different story to the table.

Grab your cup and let’s dig deep.

Today I’m welcoming Hilary Young, a Brand Marketing Strategist who has spent 20 years working in the storytelling space.

Her career began in television production, working with names including The Colbert Report, HBO, MTV, VH1, and CollegeHumor.com.

But careers evolve.

People evolve.

And sometimes the skills we develop in one chapter become exactly what we need for the next.

Hilary shifted from television and video into content, branding, and marketing—taking the storyteller with her.

Today, she helps entrepreneurs and marketing teams discover their brand voices and tell stories that actually connect with the people they’re trying to reach.

Hilary was born and raised in New York and now lives in Philadelphia.

Her favourite colour isn’t just pink—it is varying shades of pink.

She describes herself as warm and open.

Her T-E-E brings:

Storytelling. Authenticity. Connection.

And three phrases from her journey immediately caught my attention:

Failing upwards.

No regrets.

Evolving, always.

Those aren’t just marketing words.

Those are life words.

Today we’re talking about the stories behind our brands—and the stories behind the people building them.

Welcome to the table, Hilary Young.
CLOSING — FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Hilary, thank you for bringing your warmth, openness, creativity, and storytelling experience to my table.

Today we talked about brands.

But somewhere along the way, we started talking about people.

And maybe that’s because the two aren’t as different as we sometimes pretend.

We evolve.

Our businesses evolve.

Our stories evolve.

We fail.

We learn.

We change direction.

And sometimes what looks like failure in one chapter becomes the very thing that prepares us for the next.

Hilary gave us three powerful words:

Storytelling. Authenticity. Connection.

And three phrases:

Failing upwards.

No regrets.

Evolving, always.

So here is today’s food for thought:

You don’t need a perfect story to create connection. You need the courage to own the story that is actually yours—and enough openness to let the next chapter surprise you.

Failure doesn’t always mean you’re moving backwards.

Changing direction doesn’t mean you got it wrong.

And evolving doesn’t mean you’ve lost who you are.

Sometimes it means you’re finally becoming more of who you were meant to be.

Until next time, keep making a difference one cup at a time.

YOU are all the TEA. Add me, and together we become a TEAM OF CHANGE.
