Mountain Bike Flow 2.0 was Element Outdoor Education’s first Intermediate Mountain Bike camp. We had fun week exploring and learning on the beautifully built West Coast Cycling Association trails!
Also, Riders experience a mini enduro style race with some pretty impressive times!
Special thanks to Dennis Colbourne for all your added expertise throughout the camp. It was awesome!
Please take the time to support the WCCA in their efforts! They are doing an incredible job promoting the mountain biking. And please note… They have the annual LONG RANGE ENDURO coming on August 22nd! And new for this year… a Rookie section for riders who want to experience the thrill of enduro racing without competing in the full circuit. So check it out whether you’re riding or cheering from the side of the trail!

2026 Hook and Cook Fishing Derby!
Tippings Pond was the site of this years Fishing Derby! It was a fun day exploring the pond and enjoying some trouting!
Congratulations to our champ Slade who was this years winner with a trout of 18 cm and 0.13lbs! They also learned to clean and cook the fish. And, the participants got a little taste for their efforts (and some hotdogs)😂
Special thanks to Long Range Outdoors who generously supplied the draw prize for the event! If you’re ever shopping for outdoor supplies please drop in and show your support!
Thanks to everyone who supported the camp. It’s a lot of fun with some participants catching their first ever trout. I hope they continue to get outside and explore our wonderful province!
Happy Trails and Tight Lines!

“Can” you catch a fish? Yes we “CAN”!
This session we focused on survival fishing. Using fishing line, a hook and a can of drink we made our own improvised fishing reel! And we had success! For those that didn’t… they had a yummy drink to keep a smile on their face!

Hook and Cook - Day 2
There’s an old saying “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime” And quite a feed it was!
Participants learned where to find bait for their hooks in the surrounding area! Then, the fishing began! Lots of nibbles, bites and trout! We had 4 participants catch their first trout! Lots of fun and smiles had by all!
