We are thrilled to share that we have opened registration for Pilots of two of our new programs in development: Dungeons & Dramatics, and Cinematic Storytelling in Blender.

Each of these programs will have a two sessions pilot, by registering you are registering for both sessions.

Dungeons & Dramatics will be for students grade 6+, October 15 & 22, from 5:30-7:30.

Cinematic Storytelling in Blender will be for students grade 8+, November 12 & 19, from 5:30 - 7:30.

If your student is unable to do these pilot program sessions don't worry! We are hoping to continue building on these pilots for longer running periods starting in the New Year.

A reminder to families that there will be no Graham Academy group programming taking place today Wednesday September 30, and we will not have our regular office hours.

Select studio lessons may still proceed.

We encourage families and students to take time today to reflect and learn, there are a number of events occurring throughout Corner Brook today in recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Group programs and lessons will resume following their regular schedule tomorrow Thursday October 1.

Today is the final day for students who are interested in participating in our new Student Leaders Program to submit their application essays.

What Does a Student Leader Do?
Rehearsal & Classroom Mentorship: Work alongside faculty in younger classes. Learn choreography and vocal parts to demonstrate, track rehearsal notes/blocking, lead refreshers, and model professionalism, respect, and positivity.

Faculty Coaching & Growth: Participate in bi-weekly training meetings with senior faculty to receive coaching, reflect on experiences, and discuss leadership topics.

Ambassador & Performance Opportunities: Represent Camber Arts and Graham Academy as ushers at events, with chances to take part in special performance opportunities beyond regular class programming.

How to Apply:
Applicants are asked to submit a short essay (350 - 500 words) reflecting on what leadership means to them within our arts community, essays can be submitted via email to [email protected]. Please include your name and “Student Leader Application” in the subject line.

Be sure to check out CBNuit tonight on West Street! Congratulations to all artists and the organizing team, including to all Graham Academy students (past or present) participating this year. You might even see some familiar faces volunteering around the festival this evening!

Tonight's the night! ✨ The 10th CB Nuit is here, and we're going ahead rain or shine or wind!

West Street is about to come alive after dark and no matter what the sky decides to do, the show goes on, rain or shine!

A few tips before you head out:
🧥 Bring layers — it's looking cool out there tonight
☂️ Pack an umbrella or rain jacket just in case
👟 Wear comfy walking shoes — you'll want to explore it all

Thank you to all of our students and families, new and returning, for an amazing first week of group programs and studio lessons. Studio lessons continue today and we can't wait to see you all again next week!

For any students grade 7+ who are interested in applying for our new Student Leaders program, the deadline to submit your application essays is next Friday September 25.

Today marks the final day of our weekly group programs! Studio lessons continue today and tomorrow at 110 Humber Road.

Today we kick off our Broadcast Breakthrough digital arts program at Rogers Studio at 3:30 PM. We will also welcome in our Thursday cohort of Starlights at 3:30 PM and we will also be holding an information session for students in grade 7+ who are interested in applying for our new Student Leaders Program. This new program is an evolution of our previous Teacher Assistant program.

Wow! We are already halfway through our first week of programming!

Today we kick off our youth choral program Silvern Voices, who will meet at 3:30 at Corner Brook Regional High School in the music room. Then we continue our Musical Theatre programs at 110 Humber Road as welcome in our Moonbeams for their first class of the year at 4 PM. Then our Showstoppers and Junior Ensemble each have their second session of the week at 5 and 6:30 respectively.

Of course our studio lessons continue today as well as 110 Humber Road. Studio lesson times will have been communicated directly to families.

What an incredible start to our new year of programming! Thank you to all the students and families for an awesome day yesterday and to everyone who joined us for our first rehearsal for The Chorale! It was wonderful to be able to meet and welcome everyone and we are so excited to work with you all this year!

Today we welcome in some of our youngest and oldest Musical Theatre students. From 3:30-4:15 we welcome in our Tuesday Cohort of Starlights, then at 5 pm we have our Senior Company!
