🧡 National Indigenous Peoples Day – June 21

Today, we join people across Canada in recognizing and celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day.

This day is an opportunity to honour the rich cultures, traditions, languages, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples. It is also a time to reflect on the importance of learning from Indigenous knowledge, perspectives, and histories.

As an educational institution in Newfoundland and Labrador, we acknowledge the Indigenous Peoples whose communities, cultures, and histories continue to shape this province, including the Mi'kmaq, Innu, Inuit, and the legacy of the Beothuk.

We encourage our students, staff, and community members to take time today to learn, listen, and celebrate Indigenous cultures and voices.

🧡 Happy National Indigenous Peoples Day.
