Coffee and books, what else can you ask for!

We’re so excited to welcome the voice behind Money Moose to Summit Retreat Café! 🫎💰
With the cost of living rising and financial stress hitting families harder than ever, his mission is simple but powerful — bringing financial literacy into our schools and helping the next generation build a stronger future.
He’s already worked with over 300 students, and the results from his simulation workshops are eye-opening — with most students ending up in significant debt during the exercise.
Financial literacy isn’t just helpful… it’s becoming a survival skill.
We can’t wait to dive into this conversation together 📖
Stay tuned for event details!

Let’s be real. With the cost of living through the roof and everything becoming unaffordable, it is harder than ever for the next generation to get ahead.

I’m on a mission with Money Moose to get financial literacy into our schools.

I’ve worked with over 300 students so far. The reality is eye-opening. In almost every workshop, the majority of the class ends up in significant debt during our simulation game.

Financial literacy shouldn't be a wish. It should be a survival requirement. Together we can make a profound impact on the future of this province.

Kosuke Toba believes knowing how to manage money is just as important as math and science. He’s hoping to impart some of that knowledge on students before they start earning some real cash. The CBC’s Amy Feehan reports.
