Happy Earth Day! 🌎 On this day, celebrate our home by doing something special like planting a tree, recycling, volunteering, or learning something new about the planet. How will you be taking care of the earth today?

Did you know that 68% of teenagers take devices to bed, and a third of that number actually sleep in bed with them?

So much time is spent on Zoom, social media, and the "newly added" section on Netflix these days... Your child needs a break from the digital screen! 📵 Here's how you can make sure that they do.

"I don't want to [wait until I feel] ready. I want to grow. I want to learn. I want to push myself in ways I never knew I could." 🧗🏿‍♀️

Our JEI instructor Rachel recognizes that no one can ever feel completely prepared for something that will challenge them. If they felt 100% ready, it would only be for something well within their comfort zone, where growth doesn't happen 🌳

She advises students to take chances and try new challenges, whether it's reading a hard book or entering contests.

Alicia Shin is a JEI student who understood that even though she didn't feel confident about her writing skills, she should challenge herself and always try her best. That year, she won second place in the Essay Contest 🥈.

Read more about what your child should know before taking on challenges like the JEI Essay Contest and Math Olympiad (where she placed first 🥇😉)!
