Nestor Elementary PAC

Ecole Nestor Elementary Parent Advisory Council The purpose of the Nestor PAC is to support the students.

We work together with staff and parents to enrich the students’ time at Nestor by providing necessary materials to enhance their learning experience, and by organizing several events and activities during the year. All parents and guardians are general voting members of the PAC and are welcome to attend, participate, and vote at General meetings. General meetings are held 4 times per year and provide a great opportunity for general members to receive updates on the PACs plans. Please keep an eye out for notices requesting the assistance of volunteers for fundraisers and events, and notifications posted on the school’s external doors advising of meetings.The Nestor PAC Executive is made up of members that have been voted in to the Executive group.

Have you taken a look at the Community Values Fundraiser we are running right now at Nestor? As a reminder, once you’re done with your orders, please send back your order form and payment (if paying by cash or cheque - MunchaLunch also available) with each student so they can drop them with their teacher. Sales end on Thursday Oct 15 but we will do a first collection of order forms tomorrow (Oct 8) if you’re done with your orders.

For Grade 4/5 split classes and Grade 5 French Immersion classes, if you are not placing any orders please return your coupon book to your teacher.

Once orders close on Oct 15, we aim to have all additional books and prizes delivered during the week of October 19. These will be delivered to your student.

So many fun prizes this year too including Dairy Queen vouchers, a pizza party for the class with the most sales, light up squishy dumplings and many more.

We are excited to announce that the “Fresh for Kids” program will be back at Nestor this Wed Oct 7th to deliver some yummy plums to students. We are so happy to be part of this important program to encourage more fresh produce to Nestor students.

Volunteers needed - Book Fair Fall 2026

Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Choosing their own books
empowers kids and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers. AND—as always—every purchase at the Fair benefits our school.

Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place from October 20-22 at
Nestor Classroom 18. Students will have the opportunity to purchase books and other fair
items only during the times listed below.
• October 20th: 3pm-4:30pm
• October 21st: Lunch 12:30pm-1:05pm and 3pm-4pm
• October 22nd: Lunch 12:30pm-1:05pm and 1:45pm-4pm

Our 1st fundraiser of the school year has dropped. Nestor students went home today with information packages detailing all you need to know about the Community Values Coupon Book fundraiser. The fundraiser will run from today, Oct 1-15. Please read through the information, share with family, friends and colleagues, complete your order forms and send funds via MunchaLunch (cheque or cash are also acceptable payment options).

There are so many great companies participating- local and lots across BC. There are also so many cool prizes for students this year!

Hot Lunch alert - Munch a Lunch is open for orders - the first lunch is scheduled for a week today - Oct 8. Cutoff for orders for next weeks MunchaLunch is by midnight tonight - Oct 1st. Get your orders in!!

Login today to order lunch for the whole term. We are excited to rollout another term of yummy lunches.

Our Nestor Community Values Coupon Book fundraiser will start this Thurs Oct 1st and run until Oct 15th.

Students will be sent home with their information packages on Thurs so please watch out for the information, complete the order form & send it back with your student.
We are so excited to participate in this fundraiser this year. As a sneak peak, here is the list of coupons in this years coupon book.

This is such a great way to save in your own community and a wonderful way to support Nestor. If you have any questions please reach out!

Does anyone here love discounts?

We are so excited to be selling the Community Values Coupon Book this year at Nestor as our 1st fundraiser of the year. It’s full of coupons on all your favourite places across the Tri-Cities for some great meals out and on a range of family friendly activities including camps. This year they’ve also added a section for BC Travel discounts.

Watch out for more information that will come home with students early next week. Please reserve your purchase for this year’s book to support Nestor Elementary.

All fundraising dollars will go to supporting Nestor activities for this school year!

Nestor PAC is coordinating the FRESH for KIDS program again this year. This is a province-wide program to encourage healthy eating by providing fresh BC fruits, vegetables and dairy to students during class time. Nestor students will receive these healthy treats about once a month from September until May. This coming week, students will receive locally-sourced apples.

On behalf of the Nestor PAC, we wanted to welcome you all back for another great school year at Nestor. We hope you all had a wonderful summer. A reminder that today is a shorter day for students.

Some of our PAC representatives will be just in the back of the school today to welcome you back while you wait for dismissal. Feel free to pop over to say hi to one of us and remember to tell all your friends to follow the Nestor PAC page for updates as we kick off the 2026/2027 school year.

That’s a wrap on another amazing school year at Nestor! Wishing all the teachers, students, and families a wonderful summer and we can’t wait to see you in September.

Also we want to thank our PAC volunteers for all their hard work and dedication to make all of our events and PAC fundraisers the success that they have been. A special thanks to any PAC members that will be leaving as their child moves further into their school journey. Without volunteers we couldn’t do all that we do!
