Please look out for these SCAMMERS!
I received this message today: "Good afternoon, I'm looking to give away my late husband's Yamaha Baby Grand Piano, model GC1, as a gift. This baby grand piano is less than a year old and is in fantastic condition, just like new! If you are not personally interested or know of any individuals, clients, students, families, schools, or organizations who could appreciate and benefit from this piano, I would be so grateful if you could help spread the word. Finding a new home for this wonderful instrument would truly mean a lot to me." So what's the scam? Once you reach out to them, they tell you someone else has already claimed it and the piano movers have picked it up. Then a week later, they contact you and tell you the other person no longer wants it and you can have it. Hurray!! But...you need to contact the movers directly because they still have it. Then the movers charge you a thousand dollars or so to deliver it to your home. And of course, it never shows up. Shady, shady people! So if you receive this message, please ignore it!

I was extremely saddened to hear of Susan's passing earlier today. I knew she had been battling cancer for a long time, but she always seemed so upbeat, I really thought she'd beat it. I have used her wonderful teaching materials thousands of times in my studio. She produced the most delightful and fun musical pieces, games, and teaching materials. She shall be missed by many.
