Stepping Stones Daycare’s main focus is to create a warm and encouraging environment for children to discover and grow. Each child has their own way of learning, and we are prepared to facilitate the needs, interests and capabilities of each individual child. We believe that children learn through their play experiences, and we are prepared to find the resources and support necessary to ease the p

rocess of discovery. Every aspect of a child’s development is included in our programs- social, physical, intellectual, cognitive and emotional. We believe that the early years of child care should make each child feel safe to explore their world around them with respect. Nature and the outdoors is an important classroom for children, and we are aware of the prime learning opportunities associated with natural and organic surroundings. At Stepping Stones Daycare we understand early relationships with their environment, parents, teachers, and other children are vital to their well being, and we are ready to support and assist them into making respectful relationships that they will benefit from, even after they leave the program. Without the generosity of many, we would not have the wonderful facility we do!

We have a couple of spots open!!!!!

This summer we have some exciting news! Our OSC program will be moving outdoors for a land-based learning experience. While we may spend occasional time indoors, our goal is to be outside as much as possible exploring nature and learning from the land.
Planned adventures include field trips to Gooseberry Lake, Mud Buttes, and other exciting locations as opportunities arise. Children will learn valuable outdoor skills such as outdoor safety, basic first aid, fire safety, shelter building, and composting.
We will also explore fun and hands-on lessons about nature, including understanding shadows, telling time without a clock, and many other discoveries that come from being outdoors.
We are looking forward to a summer full of adventure, exploration, and learning in nature! 🌿
