This is a fantastic calculator for both the avid and reluctant math student. If you have a student that tends to misplace things, I would suggest buying more than one as becoming confident with a calculator can make a big difference for some students.
Awesome price for a calculator that is suitable for all grades.
*cell phone calculators are usually inefficient and error prone as compared to a scientific calculator.

I’m so excited for the new school year to begin! I know that there will be many new things to navigate, but I will be tutoring as usual… well that’s not quite accurate. I am offering in person tutoring (with the proper protective measures in place), virtual tutoring, and support for students learning from home.
I have found virtual tutoring to be highly effective with the students I’ve worked with during the last few months. The tools that I use are easy to learn and work on all platforms. If you are unsure whether virtual or in person tutoring will work for you, I can arrange to do a free virtual consultation. The great thing is - you are not locked into either choice.
Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to book an appointment.

I can't believe how fast summer is going! I am already booking for the fall. I only have one 3:30 appointment left on Wednesday, and the 4:30's are starting to fill too.
Hours this fall will be 3:30, 4:30, 6, 7:05, and 8:10.
It's hard for me to announce that I finally have to raise my hourly rate to $40 per hour; although, I understand that is still much lower that my closest private tutoring competition.
Rest assured that there will still be discounts for purchasing blocks of time in advance and referral benefits. For those that have funding for children with any variety of needs, I do provide receipts and can work around payment schedules. For students who would like to go with group tutoring, it will be $60 per hour for 2 students and $75 per hour for 3 students.
Call today and get the school year started off with a boost!

Do you know the difference in scientific calculators? Here are some of my favourite calculators reviewed.

Calculators have such a bad rap! It is very important to learn math facts and be able to do simple mental math – but the reality is that there are a lot of students, for many reasons, that need the assistance of a calculator to be successful.
I’m all for fact fluency – it makes following lessons easier and makes homework less onerous. I’m also for having a calculator and knowing how to use it. I encourage my older students to bring their calculators to tutoring so that I can teach them how to use them more effectively and make use of some of the less commonly known features.
Most scientific calculators will be fine for high school math. I have a personal favourite - Sharp® ELW535XBSL Write View Scientific Calculator. It can be a little pricey (sometimes I see them for around $15), but it has some great features that can help improve grades. Avoid calculators with a solar panel – they cost more and are usually less functional than a similar conventional calculator.
If you have a child that constantly loses their calculator, the dollar stores carry decent ones. They may not have all the bells and whistles, but they do the job for the most part.

Math tips for every grade
Too many kids get math-phobic as they get older. Here's how to keep your child passionate about math from kindergarten through high school.

Do you know how your son or daughter is doing in math? For the parents of high school students, this is a great time to check in to see if he or she needs some extra help. If you have elementary age students, it’s always a good time to check in with their teacher!
Right now, I have five after school time slots available (3:30 or 4:30), but they won’t be available for long! Later time slots are also available.
