Four months//

We have officially been open for four months!

It has been amazing journey so far.

It is hard to believe that we have only been open for four months.

It feels like we have known our students and families for much longer.

Our little Mouse & Ru community has grown and it has been amazing to watch so many wonderful relationships form.

Our students have come so far over these past few months. They have grown and learnt so much, in such a short period of time.

As a school, we were finally able to host our first school event.

Our parents and students got to play and learn alongside our educators during our first Stay and Play Event.

It was amazing to see our school filled with everyone, and to get to see our families meet one another.

We also did our first fundraiser and donated all of the proceeds to a local charity.

Giving back to the community is something that is very important to us.

Our students have also enjoyed many walks on the trail and are excited to continue to explore all that nature has to offer.

Thank you to our amazing educators for all the hard work you put in daily and for sharing your passion for education with our students.

It is a joy to see.

Thank you to our parents for all of your support during these first few months.

We are lucky to have such amazing support.

We are so excited for all that is yet to come this year.

It is very true what they say, time flies when you are having fun!

This month has been amazing.

It has been a joy to see our students developing new friendships and relationships.

They truly have adjusted to their new routines and are becoming confident, independent learners.

It is magical to see.

This month, we also had our very first fundraiser and were able to give back to our community.

I can’t thank everyone enough for all their support, and for helping us achieve an amazing first month.

It truly takes a village, and we are lucky to be part of such an amazing one!

We can’t wait to see what the new few months bring !

Our first day is done and wow, I am speechless!

First off, thank you to all our parents, you all did amazing at drop off!

Thank you for entrusting us to care for and to educate your child. That privilege is not lost on us.

To our students, thank you for walking to your new school with a big brave smile on your face! You all did amazing today! We are so excited to help you grow and learn.

Finally, to our educators. Thank you for being the most inspiring group of teachers. It was amazing to watch you all jump into your roles today. Seeing all of your students happy faces, is a true testament to how great their first day went!

Our journey has begun, and I am so excited to see where it takes us all!

We are so excited !

After months of hard work, we are almost ready to open!

We are officially fully licensed by the Ministry of Education and our educators are all working so hard to get ready to welcome our students!

Our cubbies are labelled with students names on them.

Our educators are lesson planning and getting ready to welcome students into their classrooms!

We can’t wait for the halls of our school to be filled with little voices and snow covered boots.

We have been busy setting up our final inspections and getting things ready for when we open our doors!

The community response to Mouse and Ru has been overwhelming, in the best possible way.

We are excited to share that we only have a few spots left in our Toddler Program.

With the way the world is right now, it is easy for parents to feel disconnected from what their children are learning at school.

At Mouse and Ru Preschool, we will be using an amazing app called HiMama to keep parents informed and up to date on what their learners are doing in the classroom.

It is our goal at Mouse and Ru to try bridge the gap that exists due to current restrictions, while also adhering to public health guidelines to ensure the safety and well being of everyone at our school.

HiMama will allow our educators to send out daily updates and photos to parents in real time.

Our hope is that this helps parents to feel more involved and connected to the school and what their learners are doing in the classroom. Creating a sense of community is very important to us at Mouse and Ru.

We are all trying our best during these hard times and learning to be a little more creative.
