A few more moments from the 15th Chito-Ryu Karate Soke Cup in Gold Coast, Australia. 🇦🇺🥋

From competition and closing ceremonies to catching up with old friends and making new ones, the Soke Cup is about much more than what happens in the ring.

Halifax Ryuseikan was proud to be part of an international gathering of Chito-Ryu karateka from around the world — sharing competition, friendship and a common passion for Chito-Ryu Karate.

What a fantastic time for our dojo and plenty of great memories to bring home to Halifax. 🇨🇦

It was a pleasure to welcome Sensei Marc Waterfield back to Halifax Ryuseikan Karate during his visit home from Japan.

Over three nights, Sensei Waterfield shared his knowledge and experience with our junior and adult students, who all enjoyed learning from him.

The visit was also a wonderful opportunity to reconnect. Sensei Waterfield trained alongside Senseis Mitchell German, Steve Gionet, San Fung, and Aaron Wright under the late Sensei Michael Delaney at the Atlantic Karate Club, making the week especially meaningful.

Thank you, Sensei Waterfield, for your instruction and friendship. We wish you safe travels back to Japan and look forward to seeing you again.
