Kiddie Cove Daycare

Just a friendly reminder that Kiddie Cove will be closed on Monday, August 3 in observance of Heritage Day.

We hope everyone enjoys a safe and relaxing long weekend with their families!

We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday, August 4.

Our dramatic play area gives children the opportunity to explore the world around them through everyday experiences. Whether they’re shopping at the farmers’ market, picking up groceries or cooking in the kitchen, each space encourages imagination, creativity, and meaningful play.

As children play together, they build friendships, practice communication, solve problems, and grow in confidence. Every moment of play is filled with opportunities to learn, explore, and have fun! 🍎

☀️ Our little learners are loving our new sandbox! Sandbox play provides endless opportunities for sensory exploration while encouraging creativity, imagination, teamwork, and fine and gross motor development.

Our little learners had the incredible opportunity to release the butterflies we have been caring for and watching transform over this past while. Seeing their excitement as the butterflies took flight was such a meaningful way to celebrate nature, growth, and new beginnings.

To continue supporting our local pollinators, we added three new garden beds in our outdoor learning space! One of them is a dedicated Butterfly Garden, filled with flowers that will help attract butterflies throughout the season.

Our garden beds provide children with hands on learning opportunities as they observe plant life cycles, discover butterflies and other pollinators, help water and care for the gardens, and develop a deeper appreciation for nature and the environment. These experiences encourage curiosity, responsibility, and meaningful outdoor learning.

We can’t wait to watch our gardens bloom and welcome many more butterfly visitors! 🦋

🌽 In our Toddler Room, our farmers market became a space for curiosity and discovery. Through play, our toddlers explored familiar everyday experiences, made choices, shared ideas, and enjoyed learning alongside one another.

Our newest addition has already become a favorite! Children are free to paint, experiment, and express themselves while enjoying the fresh air. It’s the perfect space for open-ended creativity, exploration, and learning through play. ☀️🎨

🦎 Our outdoor space just got a little more magical! These colorful garden friends have found their new home and are ready to spark curiosity, imagination, and lots of little adventures.

The children had so much fun exploring, searching high and low to see what new garden friends they could find. Their excitement and wonder made our day! 💚

Please note that we will be closed on Wednesday, July 1 in celebration of Canada Day.

With the beautiful weather we’ve been enjoying lately, the children have loved spending extra time outdoors at the park. They have been practicing climbing, balancing, taking turns, and working together as they explore the playground.

Outdoor adventures like these support physical development, social skills, confidence, and a love for active play. We are grateful for the sunshine, fresh air, and all the opportunities it brings for learning and fun! 🌳🛝☀️
