It’s not looking like we have many more warm sunny days ahead, but boy have we had a great summer making use of those hot days.🥵

When the activity I planned didn’t work out, a quick scramble for a creative idea landed us with bubble gun painting and it was a blast! 🫧

The role of an early childhood educator is a privilege. We open not only our homes, but also our hearts, to families and their children. We are entrusted with the most precious gifts imaginable. The bonds we build begin from the very first day, and some last a lifetime.

Caellum came into our lives at just 23 months old. He was a fun-loving little boy with a larger-than-life personality. From day one, he had a way of making everyone laugh, even when he was testing your very last nerve. He had a fearless spirit and a boldness that made him stand out, and those were qualities we wholeheartedly embraced.

When he started school, our journey with him didn't end. Life had a way of bringing him back to us. Whether it was after-school care, summer days, or the occasional family day, he remained a part of our lives. The bond we shared continued to grow, extending far beyond the years that most children remain in care. He wasn't just a child who came through our door—he was one of our own. Loved, seen and accepted just as he was.

People often say it takes a village to raise a child. We were incredibly fortunate that Caellum became part of ours. There are some children who leave your care, and then there are those who leave a permanent piece of themselves in your heart. Caellum was one of those rare souls. His absence leaves an emptiness that words cannot fully express, but his memory will forever live within these walls, in our stories, our laughter, and in the countless moments that remind us of him.

To have been a small part of Caellums journey was one of the greatest honours and we will forever be grateful for the years and the memories. We will carry him with us always. ❤️

Every single movement and task for children is an amazing learning opportunity for their growing minds & bodies.

Batman loves a good crime-fighting snack and when he crossed paths with a delivery-ready pizza, the results were deliciously heroic 🍕🦇

Sometimes we have parent guilt about sending our littles to daycare.

But just remember: while you’re doing what you need to do they are busy making memories, building friendships, and learning all new things and that’s nothing to feel guilty about. ❤️
