Come, Let's Sew! - Home Come, Let’s Sew is Dedicated to empowering children of all ages with the valuable and practical skill of sewing.

Sewing class is so much more than just sewing. We sometimes have the most interesting conversations.

I asked the children which words they find difficult to say and to write. They came up with quite a few.

The next morning, one little girl told me she had been thinking about our conversation the night before and had another word to add to the list: fruit.

Those are the moments that makes it so rewarding to teach children.

Meet Ivy! 🩷

Ivy is a bubbly 10-year-old from Wakaw, a small town northeast of Saskatoon, about 465 km from Cold Lake.

Her grandmother signed her up for sewing camp and spent the entire week here in the Lakeland so Ivy could attend. What a wonderful gift of time and love.

I hope Ivy thanked her grandmother over and over again for making this special week possible. ❤️
